Exceptional Palace of sober medieval construction, with a historical date of construction in the year 900 A.D.. Founded by the Navarrese Infante Fortún I Garcés, son of the King of Navarra García I Iñiguez, married to Mrs. Berenguela de Ozaeta. It was built to defend the territory of Álava, against the constant attacks of Muhammad I of Córdoba, who briefly captured Fortún I Garcés.
This unique Palace of 1100 m2, emblazoned with an important coat of arms of military nobility, originally masterfully sculpted in siliceous stone, hence its good conservation. It stands on the main façade, flanked on its sides by two circular towers with loopholes, similar to those of the solar house of Loyola de Azpeitia, Guipuzcoa. The current Palace was remodeled around 1549, carried out by D. Juan Beltran de Ozaeta Gallastegui y Recalde, holding the Knighthood of the Order of Calatrava, Corregidor of León, Trujillo and Salamanca.
This incredible palace is exempt from the IBI tax. From the works tax You have the right to request from the administration funds from the 1% of public works, to restore the Building. It is exempt from 90% of the property transfer tax. And other tax advantages, such as that referred to the wealth tax.

It has four floors and an exterior basement in the main building, plus several exterior annexes on the plot. It has access through the main façade, emblazoned with its Captain General shield, and has another side entrance to access the Palace.
It has 4 very spacious bedrooms, fully decorated in their time, with attached bathrooms and dressing room, where the greats of Spain spent the night. The noble wood enhances the doors, windows (double glazing), skylight, ceiling beams and decoration on the first floor.
On the ground floor you can enjoy an emblematic environment, where our history has been shaped and written. Large rooms framed in wooden beams and stone from the 900s, updated kitchen but with a medieval stamp and a dedicated bathroom.
The rest of the floors are dedicated to free and spacious rooms, without determining their specific use and maintaining all their medieval purity.
An amalgamation of flora, gardens, swimming pool, canals and small lakes are combined in the grounds of the plot, complementing the charm of its time and its privileged location.
